Research School Launch

The launch of the Oldham Research School by The Greetland Academy, has been covered in the Oldham Times.


The Academy's Jo Pearson leads the Research school with the support of our Teamworks Teaching School Alliance partner schools. Jo works with Research Champions: Adam Harris, the Greetland Academy; Helen Crowther, Beech Hill Primary School; and Cath Profiitt, The Halifax Academy.

11-16 Maths

Our mathematics programme is an 11-16 programme that develops teachers in Key Stage 3 and GCSE maths and further maths.  There are also opportunities to develop your post 16 maths teaching.  


We are looking for with an undergraduate degree in maths and those who have an unrelated degree but maths A level at grade C or above.  For the latter we are able to offer a fully funded Subject Knowledge Enhancement programme to support your subject knowledge prior to starting the course.  Contact us for further details.

Our typical cohort for the maths programme is 6 trainees.  For 2017 we are offering two salaried maths places at Halifax Academy.
